How could you not love Burleigh Heads? At any time, on any day of the week, you will find fitness fanatics running the promenade to North Burleigh, weaving between young families setting up picnics and me… cruising on my bike.

Want an open beach without hordes of tourists? You don’t have to look far here to find it.

And then you have ‘The Point’, famous around the world for its barrelling right-handers, viewed from the hill by people soaking up the sunshine and a coffee from ‘The Nook Espresso’.

As the cherry on top of the chocolate sauce on top of the Cold Rock triple scoop is an amazing pocket of natural coastal rainforest in the National Park. Not 10 steps along the path and the busy coast is left behind as you weave to the summit and adore the wide horizons and possibly see a whale breach or wave a fin at you.

The 2006 Census listed Burleigh Heads as having a population of 7,606, but anyone who has tried to park in James Street will tell you that number needs revising!

Amongst the Cafe’s, Restaurants (Hoo Ray for Govinda’s), clothing stores, banks and other retailers, you will find several places to get a good massage.

But if you would prefer to stay relaxed after your massage, why not get a mobile massage at home for the same price (or less!) than what you would pay in downtown Burleigh. (I don’t have their rents to pay). Forget rushing about to find a park – enjoy the comfort and privacy of your own home.
